Über Diese Gelegenheit

The International Triennial of Textile Arts (ITTA) in Szombathely, Hungary, is a leading platform for contemporary textile practice in Central and Eastern Europe. The 9th edition, scheduled for 2027, will run from 1 October 2027 to 19 March 2028 at the Szombathely Gallery and Savaria Museum. The call invites professional textile artists, fine and applied artists, members of Hungarian artistic associations (MAOE, MKISZ, FISE, FKSE), and students of higher‑education art institutions to submit completed works created between 2024 and 2027 that engage the theme "Interwoven Generation". Three categories are open: Mural and Spatial Textile, Textile Design, and Miniature Textile. Submissions are accepted exclusively online via the official ITTA website from 11 January to 8 February 2027. Winners receive prizes awarded by sponsors, and selected works will be exhibited in the triennial. The event is organized by the Cultural Foundation for the Textile Arts, with support from the National Cultural Fund, and is part of a long‑standing triennial tradition that fosters dialogue between textile craft, contemporary art, and design.
