The Albany Museum of Art (AMA) is issuing its 3rd Annual Call for Artists, seeking emerging and mid‑career artists who are 18 years or older and work in the states of Georgia, Alabama, or Florida. Artists of any medium may apply. Proposals are due by 5 pm EST on Friday, January 29, 2027. Submissions must be emailed to the Curatorial Department and include a CV, an artist bio with three recent exhibition venues, a two‑to‑four‑page letter of interest describing practice and the proposed exhibition, a checklist of 5‑9 artworks (each fitting a 345 sq ft space), high‑resolution JPG images, and optional bibliography. All files should be PDF and named with the artist’s first and last name. The blue‑ribbon committee will select one artist, who will be notified by March 8, 2027. The winning artist will receive a solo exhibition in AMA’s McCormack Gallery from May 13 to August 21, 2027, with installation due by April 30, 2027 and de‑installation by September 3, 2027. No application fee is required, and the museum does not handle sales of exhibited works.
