Stigmatisierung im Fokus: Jenseits des Etiketts – Porträt-Ausstellung

Stigma Highlighted: Beyond the Label is a community legacy project organized by the Art League of Ocean City that connects local artists with families who have lost loved ones to addiction. Experienced local artists are invited to apply to create a portrait that celebrates the individual’s personality, passions, and impact beyond the stigma of addiction. The resulting portraits, together with the families’ stories, will be exhibited at Salisbury University in Spring 2027 and later at the Art League of Ocean City in September 2027. Participating families will receive the original portrait as a lasting tribute. There is no entry fee for artists, and the call is open to experienced artists residing in the local area. Applications are submitted via an online JotForm, and the deadline has been extended to November 16, 2026. Selected artists will have their work displayed in two public exhibitions, gaining community exposure and contributing to a meaningful social dialogue.
