„Space to Create“-Residenzprogramm

Space to Create is a residency programme run by Randwick City Council, located on the third floor of the Lionel Bowen Library. Eight studio suites of varying sizes are available for a residency period of up to 11 months. The residency is open to local writers and creatives working across a wide range of artforms, including digital art, fashion, calligraphy, collage, crafts, drawing, graphic art, installation, jewellery, mixed media, painting, mosaics, textile, film, video, and video games. Applications open on Friday 9 October 2026 and close on Friday 6 November 2026; successful applicants are notified by 27 November 2026 and the residency begins on Monday 18 January 2027. Applicants choose between a full‑year residency (18 Jan – 17 Dec 2027), a first half‑year residency (18 Jan – 25 Jun 2027) or a second half‑year residency (5 Jul – 17 Dec 2027). A modest weekly hire fee applies for the use of the studio space (rates vary by suite and concession status). The programme provides studio space, access to library facilities and the opportunity to develop and share creative practice, but does not include accommodation or travel support.
