Scuola Internazionale di Grafica di Venezia
Über Diese Gelegenheit
The Scuola Internazionale di Grafica, founded in 1969, is a renowned center for printmaking and book arts located in the historic heart of Venice. It offers artist residency programs that run year‑round, ranging from 1 to 12 weeks, and are open to professional and practising artists. Residents gain full access to a well‑equipped studio with multiple etching presses, a lithographic press, a vertical woodcut press, and a letterpress, as well as workshops, critiques, seminars, and exhibitions. Guided residencies are available for individual artists or small groups of up to three participants, and are open to ERASMUS+ programs. While the school does not provide housing, optional accommodation in a private bedroom on the Grand Canal is available. The residency is paid by the artist, with fees varying by duration and type (guided or independent). Applications are accepted on a rolling basis, and the program emphasizes sustainable printmaking practices and community engagement.
