Aviário Studio – Fotoresidenz 2027

The Aviário Studio Photography Residency 2027 is a production‑focused program that supports photographers in developing new bodies of work. Located in the countryside near Ferreira do Zêzere, Portugal, the studio provides a range of analog and digital equipment, including a cutting table, enlarger, UV exposure unit, darkroom, light tables and extensive workshop facilities. Residents can choose a stay from two weeks up to six months, with the option to live in a shared house on‑site that includes a kitchen, living room and Wi‑Fi. Meals are provided, and technical assistance is available for an additional fee of 20 €/hour. The residency fee covers accommodation and studio access and is tiered by length (600 € for 2 weeks, up to 1 800 € for 6 months). No application fee is required, but applicants must be at least 21 years old, able to cover the residency costs, travel, materials and food, and must submit a portfolio, CV and project description via email. The program encourages artists to contribute a work to the studio’s collection, give talks, lead workshops, and participate in open studio events. The deadline for applications is 7 October 2026, and the residency is set to start in January 2027.
