Künstlerresidenz an Bord der „Marion Dufresne“, Französische Antarktis

The selected artist will join a logistics rotation departing from La Reunion in March 2027, sailing to the austral districts of Crozet, Kerguelen and Amsterdam as well as the island of Tromelin, with a return planned for April 2027. Over the crossing and the port calls, the artist will develop a work shaped by some of the most isolated and best-preserved territories on the planet, and by the exchanges on board with crew, with the winter-over teams and with the scientists stationed at the bases.

Studio, materials, mentorship, production support

A passport valid for at least six months beyond the planned April 2027 return is required, as is a command of French sufficient to communicate on board with the scientific and logistics teams.
