Über Diese Gelegenheit
The Digital Art Residency, in cooperation with the Swiss Arts Council Pro Helvetia, is the fifth iteration of transmediale’s hybrid residency program. It runs for two months, combining an online phase (mid‑May to mid‑July 2027) with an on‑site month in Berlin’s transmediale studio (June 2027). Applicants must be Swiss nationals or permanent residents of Switzerland and be established in the Swiss cultural scene. The residency provides a CHF 15,000 production grant, an artist fee of CHF 2,000 per month, and covers travel and accommodation for the festival and residency. Residents will present their work during a public event in June and may participate in the transmediale festival in January 2027. Applications are accepted via transmediale’s online submission form until 28 August 2026 (23:59 CEST). The selection panel includes Nina Liechti (Kunstmuseum Bern), Anan Fries (artist), and Anna‑Lena Panter (transmediale).
