Roblar-Künstlerresidenz – Frühjahrssession 2027
Roblar Artist Residency
Über Diese Gelegenheit
The Roblar Artist Residency offers a three‑week immersive experience (March 1‑22, 2027) that blends visual art practice with agriculture and viticulture in the Santa Ynez Valley, California. Located on the 40‑acre Roblar Winery and Farm, residents live in a private bedroom within a shared casita and have access to a 300 sq ft dedicated studio space, easels, worktables, and a communal kitchen. The program welcomes visual artists working in any medium, as well as writers, poets, and dancers whose practice does not interfere with fellow residents. Up to three artists are selected per session and receive a private bedroom, studio access, optional meal plan ($420), and transportation for off‑site excursions. While meals are not included in the residency fee, an optional lunch plan is offered, and residents may prepare their own meals. The residency fee ranges from $2,500 to $2,900 depending on bedroom size; an application fee of $10 is required. Artists are expected to participate in open studio events, give a talk or presentation, and contribute to a final exhibition at the on‑site Indah Gallery. The residency is open to artists worldwide, though the program notes a particular intention to host artists based in Santa Barbara County. Applications are accepted online through the Indah Gallery site, with a deadline of December 1, 2026 and notification by December 21, 2026.
