The Mirek Smisek Arts Trust announces the second round of its Resident Potter programme at The Kilns at Te Horo, New Zealand. The residency provides a ceramic artist with studio access, full kiln facilities, and accommodation in the newly renovated Te Horo Railway Station and the Doreen Blumhardt Red Cottage Studio. Applicants can choose from three residency terms: April‑June (3 months), July‑September (3 months), or October‑March (6 months). The call is open to ceramic artists (potters) and aims to continue the legacy of Mirek Smíšek, the first New Zealand craft potter to earn a living from his work. Applications close on 30 November 2026. No application fee is required. Selected residents receive studio space, accommodation, and the opportunity to work in a historic pottery environment surrounded by a vibrant artistic community.
