Residenzprogramm „Prospect Street Writers House“

Prospect Street Writers House, located in the Green Mountains of Vermont, invites writers of all genres, backgrounds, identities, and career stages to apply for its rolling one‑ and two‑week residencies. Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis; there is no hard deadline, but applicants are encouraged to submit at least ten weeks before their desired start date. The application process requires a manuscript and a letter of interest, and a nonrefundable fee of $30. Residency fees are $1,450 for a one‑week stay and $2,450 for a two‑week stay, with dinner included. The house provides accommodation, meals, community dinners, and a quiet, distraction‑free writing environment. Financial aid is available for those who need it, and the institution offers fellowships that cover the one‑week residency fee. The program runs from May through November, with additional retreat options in February through April. Applicants are notified within four weeks of submission, and a deposit of $250 is due upon acceptance, refundable within one year for a rescheduled residency. The residency is open to all writers and offers a supportive community of peers and mentors.

Private bedroom/studio with ensuite full bath, nightly dinners prepared by Chef Amy, access to library, and other spaces of the house, plus on-site laundry, wi-fi, and printer.
