Aufruf an Künstler: Möglichkeit zur Gestaltung patriotischer öffentlicher Kunst im Marsh Oaks Community Center
City of Atlantic Beach
Über Diese Gelegenheit
The City of Atlantic Beach is seeking an artist or artist team to create a new permanent patriotic mural installation at the Marsh Oaks Community Center (100 W. First St.). The project calls for patriotic motifs, military tributes, civic values, and regional wildlife, with reference imagery provided but not mandatory. The mural will be displayed on the exterior and grounds of the community center and must be durable enough to withstand the coastal climate. Eligible applicants are residents, workers, or students of Duval, St. Johns, or Nassau County, aged 18 or older, with a demonstrated connection to Atlantic Beach considered a plus. All artists are encouraged to apply regardless of budget size, background, or scale; the proposed price tag will be a critical determining factor in final selection. Applications should be submitted as a single PDF containing an artist statement (max 1 page), resume/CV, and a 5‑image portfolio with titles, dimensions, materials, and past budget details to info@coab.us by October 6, 2026, 5:00 PM. The target completion date for the mural is November 2026. No stipend or travel support is provided, and housing is not offered. The project offers the opportunity to create a lasting public artwork that will be exhibited to the community.
