The Obodo International Artist Residency (Obodo Oma) is a fully funded program based in Lagos, Nigeria, run by the non‑profit Obodo Nigeria. It invites Black diaspora artists to collaborate with Nigerian artists, focusing on the intersection of art, human rights and LGBTQ+ advocacy. The residency provides studio space, a stipend, and safe housing options for artists who need secure, affirming accommodation. Participants join a community of queer artists and activists, gaining access to the Human Rights Hub, a co‑working and event space, as well as mentorship and networking opportunities. The call is open to Black diaspora artists of any discipline who are committed to queer and human‑rights themes. Applications are submitted through Obodo Nigeria’s website.
