Offene Ausschreibung für die „Mensch Machine“-Residenz 2027
Akademie der Künste
Über Diese Gelegenheit
The Mensch Maschine VISIT Programme invites proposals from a broad range of artistic disciplines—including visual art, performance, film, installation, sound, writing, and new media—for its annual fellowship programme. Four fully‑funded fellowships of €20,000 each are awarded to international artists to develop projects that explore the theme “ENERGY GHOSTS,” examining the ecological, political and spiritual dimensions of energy. Fellows receive studio space and accommodation at E‑WERK Luckenwalde (three fellows) or the Akademie der Künste in Berlin (one fellow), as well as a stipend to cover production, travel and material costs. The residency runs from August to October 2027 (approximately three months), during which artists are expected to be on‑site at least 75 % of the time and participate in an interdisciplinary artistic programme. Events are hosted at E‑WERK Luckenwalde, the Akademie der Künste, and the Ujazdowski Castle Centre for Contemporary Art in Warsaw, culminating in a symposium in October 2027 where fellows can present their work alongside the 2026 cohort. The jury includes internationally recognised curators and artists. Applications close on 1 December 2026 (23:59 CET) via the VISIT online portal.
