Offene Ausschreibung 2027 – Das Haus als Lehrer

The Mustarinda Residency invites artists, researchers, and other professionals to live and work together in a remote house in the Kainuu region of Finland for periods of 2 to 6 weeks in 2027. The residency is themed "The House as a Teacher" and encourages participants to reflect on ecological living, seasonal cycles, and community learning. Applicants pay a modest rent based on the studio or bedroom they occupy, with rates ranging from €190 for two weeks to €700 for six weeks. Residents also contribute a few hours of weekly chores. The program offers studio space, communal facilities, and support for travel to Hyrynsalmi, where pick‑ups are coordinated. Letters of confirmation are available for funding or visa purposes. The call is open to all disciplines and backgrounds, with no age or nationality restrictions. Application deadline is 13 October 2026.
