Offene Ausschreibung: Immersives Audio

The Performing Arts Technology Department at the University of Michigan’s School of Music, Theatre & Dance announces the 3rd Spaceout International Ambisonics Festival (October 22‑23 2026). Composers from any country and of any age may submit a single Ambisonic piece (fixed‑media or Inviso track) of up to 12 minutes. Submissions must follow the ambiX format (SN3D, ACN) and be provided as interleaved multichannel WAV files. No entry or registration fees are required. Selected works will be programmed at the festival and presented in the Chip Davis Technology Studio, which houses a 36‑speaker layout supporting up to 5th‑order Ambisonics. Attendance at the festival is optional for the composers. The call offers exposure to an international audience, professional feedback, and the use of state‑of‑the‑art spatial audio facilities, but no monetary award or stipend.
