Über Diese Gelegenheit

The Creative Europe Programme (CREA) launches the NEWS – Media Literacy (CREA‑CROSS‑2027) grant, a European Commission funding opportunity aimed at supporting innovative cross‑border media‑literacy projects. The call targets consortia of at least three independent legal entities from three different eligible EU Member States or associated countries. Projects may develop multilingual content, media‑literacy tools, training programmes, public events and community‑led activities that help citizens—especially adults outside formal education—critically assess media and resist disinformation. The grant provides up to EUR 500 000 per project, covering 70 % of eligible costs, with a maximum project duration of 24 months. Funding supports the production of tools, campaigns, trainings, events, and related dissemination activities. Natural persons are not eligible, except self‑employed sole traders without a separate legal personality. No single‑applicant proposals are accepted. Applications are submitted online via the EU Funding & Tenders Portal; the deadline is 20 January 2027 at 17:00 Brussels time. Successful projects receive a budget‑based grant, with pre‑financing of 70 % after contract signing and final payment upon completion. Travel support is available for a kick‑off meeting (up to two persons, return to Brussels, one night). The call is part of the annual Creative Europe funding cycle and is not a rolling call.
