Künstlerresidenzprogramme in Lagos 2026

The Lagos Artists-in-Residence Programs 2026 offer three international locations – Berlin (Germany), Mexico City (Mexico) and Oaxaca (Mexico) – for visual artists, curators, writers and cultural agents with emerging or established practices. The residency focuses on artistic development, intercultural dialogue and professional networking. Residents receive curatorial support, professional mentorship, access to Lagos’ digital platforms, international visibility, and use of artistically designed workspaces. Applications are accepted year‑round with no fixed deadline. Required documents include an updated portfolio with CV, a project description, a motivation letter and social‑media details. The Berlin location provides a monthly stipend of €3,000 to cover costs, while Mexico City and Oaxaca have variable monthly costs. The program runs for 1–3 months per residency. Selected artists may join the Lagos I Platform for digital gallery presentation, collective exhibitions and participation in international art fairs.

Professional and curatorial support, international visibility via Lagos platforms, access to local and global networks, artistically designed workspaces, participation in talks and professional visits, potential inclusion in Lagos I Platform exhibitions and art fairs.

Open to visual artists, curators, writers and cultural agents (emerging or established). Two modalities: International (artists from Europe, USA, Japan, China) and Global South (artists from Mexico, Latin America, Africa, Asia, Oceania).
