Über Diese Gelegenheit

PoMoArts, a not‑for‑profit community arts centre in Port Moody, British Columbia, announces its 2027 Ceramic Artist in Residence (CAIR) program. The six‑month residency supports emerging ceramic artists in developing a cohesive body of work for a solo exhibition. Residents receive a dedicated private studio equipped with a wheel and shelving, kiln access, a gallery exhibition with curatorial support, mentorship and professional development, a featured artist profile on the PoMoArts website, and the possibility of paid teaching or workshop opportunities. Residents also engage with the community by supporting studio sessions, assisting students, and participating in events. Applications are free and must be submitted by 27 September 2026. The program is open to emerging ceramic artists who have a strong foundation in ceramics through post‑secondary education or equivalent experience, can work independently in a shared studio, and are not yet earning their primary income from their artwork.
