Über Diese Gelegenheit
In Contrast 2026 is a juried exhibition organized by the Maryland Federation of Art (MFA). The show investigates the artistic potential of contrast—color, light, texture, subject and concept—through works in any medium. The exhibition will be presented in MFA’s Virtual Gallery from December 15, 2026 to February 14, 2027. A professional juror, Sena Clara Creston, will select works and award a total of $500 in prizes.
Entry is open to artists residing in the United States, Canada and Mexico. Submissions must be original 2‑D or 3‑D works created within the past three years, limited to a maximum of six pieces per artist. All works must be for sale; North American artists may set a price in MFA’s Online Sales Gallery, with a shipping reimbursement of up to $35 for sales shipments. Artists retain 80% of sales revenue (85% for MFA members).
The entry fee is $45 for the first one or two works (reduced to $30 for MFA members) and $6.75 for each additional work (reduced to $4.50 for members). Fees are non‑refundable. Applications are submitted through ArtCall.org via the online entry system. The deadline for submissions is 11:59 PM on October 21, 2026. Notification of selected artists will be sent on November 19, 2026, with awards announced on January 7, 2027.
