HIAP-Aufenthaltsprogramm in Helsinki für australische Künstler
Helsinki International Artist Programme
Über Diese Gelegenheit
The HIAP Three‑Month Residency Program supports Australian artists and arts workers with a funded three‑month residency at the Helsinki International Artist Programme in Finland. It provides time, space and resources for open‑ended artistic research, experimentation and cross‑disciplinary collaboration, and does not require participants to produce a finished artwork. The residency is based on Suomenlinna island, a UNESCO World Heritage Site about fifteen minutes by ferry from central Helsinki, with some activities also hosted at Cable Factory. The programme mainly focuses on visual arts but welcomes applicants working in community arts and cultural development, dance, emerging and experimental arts, First Nations arts and culture, literature, music and theatre. Activities related to feature films, television projects and documentary production are not eligible. Applicants must be Australian citizens or Australian Permanent Residents, be actively working in an eligible artistic field, and apply as an individual rather than as a group or organisation. Selected participants receive $15,000 for the three‑month residency period. The deadline is 15 September 2026, with residencies scheduled for 12 April to 4 July 2027 and 16 August to 14 November 2027.
