Harpo-Stiftung

The Harpo Foundation’s Grants for Visual Artists award direct financial support to under‑recognized visual artists who are 21 years or older and U.S. citizens or legal permanent residents. Applicants submit a resume, a brief artist statement (max 200 words), and up to ten work samples via the Foundation’s online Submittable portal. A $15 application fee is required, though fee waivers are available for artists experiencing financial hardship if requested before submission. The grant amount is up to $10,000 per awardee and can be used for any activity that advances the artist’s practice. Selections are made by the Board of Directors after review by independent professional advisors. Reporting of fund usage is required within ten months of receipt. The program is annual; the 2026 cycle closed on April 27, 2026, and the next cycle will open in February 2027.
