The Institut français, in partnership with Cité internationale des arts, invites artists and cultural professionals from around the world to apply for a funded residency in Paris. The program offers a furnished live‑work studio, a minimum monthly stipend of €1,100, and support for international travel, health and liability insurance, and visa fees. Applicants must have lived outside France for at least five years, demonstrate a professional artistic practice, and have proficiency in French or English. The residency is open to a wide range of disciplines, including theatre, dance, performance, visual arts, music, literature, cinema, architecture, design, digital creation, photography, fashion, gastronomy, criticism, curating, crafts, circus arts, puppetry, and urban planning. Applications are submitted through a partner organization that commits financial and professional support. The selection committee evaluates the artistic proposal, the strength of the partnership, and the project’s connection to the Parisian and Île‑de‑France cultural ecosystem. Selected residents will have access to exhibition spaces, rehearsal studios, an auditorium, and shared workshops.
