Arts & Science Council
Über Diese Gelegenheit
The Arts & Science Council (ASC) announces its Artist Support Grants, a funding program that provides up to $3,000 to professional artists and creatives for project development, professional promotion, workshops, and travel. Applications are open from August 10, 2026 and close on September 6, 2026 at 11:59 pm. Eligible applicants must reside in Mecklenburg, Cabarrus, Cleveland, Gaston, Lincoln, or Rowan Counties in North Carolina and work in visual, craft, performing, traditional, or interdisciplinary art forms. Grants support projects taking place between January 1 2027 and December 31 2027, with all funds to be expended by June 30 2028. Recipients receive the full award amount and may request funds for materials, equipment, career promotion, class or workshop fees, and travel or lodging related to professional development. Draft proposals can be submitted by August 30, 2026 for feedback. The program excludes artists who received an ASC grant in the FY25 cycle. Applications are submitted through an online portal, and additional resources such as guidelines, a budget template, and info‑session PDFs are provided. The grant is an annual, recurring call, with the next edition opening in August 2026.
