FilmHouse-Residenz
SFFILM
Über Diese Gelegenheit
The FilmHouse Residency, managed by SFFILM Makers, is the only year‑round filmmaker residency in the United States. Each year approximately 20 selected documentary or narrative filmmakers receive a 12‑month residency that includes dedicated office space, access to editing suites, professional advisors, guest speakers, and networking events. The program supports projects at various stages of development—feature, short, or episodic—and is made possible through the support of the Kenneth Rainin Foundation and the SF Film Commission. Applications are accepted on a rolling basis with no submission fee. Residents are expected to work full‑time in the Bay Area and benefit from a vibrant community of peers and industry professionals. The residency does not provide housing or travel stipends, but offers extensive mentorship, studio resources, and opportunities to showcase work within SFFILM’s programming.
