FACTOR offers two rolling grant programs for Canadian music artists: the Live Performance Program and the Video Program. The Live Performance Program subsidizes a portion of the costs associated with domestic and international performances, including showcases, tours, and other live events. The Video Program provides funding to cover part of the production costs for music videos tied to eligible Canadian sound recordings. Both programs operate on a year‑round, rolling basis, meaning applications are accepted continuously and funding is awarded as projects are approved. Eligible applicants are Canadian‑based artists who have a FACTOR rating of 2 or 3, or who have a FACTOR‑funded recording project in progress. There is no fixed grant amount; funding is awarded based on project budgets and the level of support required. Applications are submitted online through FACTOR’s portal, and no application fee is required. Successful applicants receive financial assistance that can range from a few thousand dollars up to the maximum allowed for each program, covering travel, venue fees, production costs, and related expenses.
