Residenzprogramm für Nachwuchskünstler im Bereich sozial engagierter Kunst
Mount Stuart Trust
Über Diese Gelegenheit
Mount Stuart Trust’s Visual Arts Programme invites emerging artists to apply for a residency focused on socially engaged practice. The residency runs for 4–8 weeks during January‑February 2027 on the Isle of Bute, offering studio space, accommodation (potentially hybrid) and fee support of £693 per week. Applicants must be based in Scotland or have attended a Scottish art school, have graduated within the last five years (or demonstrate 3‑5 years of sustained practice), and commit to working with local communities on Bute. The Trust encourages applications from BIPOC, LGBTQ+ and disabled artists, who will be automatically shortlisted if they identify with these groups. Applications require a CV with two referees, a letter outlining the proposed socially engaged project, six images of work, and a completed Equality & Diversity monitoring form. The deadline for submissions is 6 November 2026, with the successful candidate announced in December 2026. The residency provides time, space, accommodation and mentorship, but applicants are responsible for the weekly fee.
