Cryptic Nights 2027/28 – Offene Ausschreibung (Klangkunst in Schottland)

Cryptic, the Glasgow‑based arts organisation, is inviting Scotland‑based emerging artists to develop existing projects for Cryptic Nights 2027/28. The call targets work that combines original sound or music with performance, installation, screen‑based art or technology. Selected artists receive a fee of £800 (solo) or up to £2,000 (group), one mentoring session, up to a two‑day residency plus a performance or presentation, professional photography and video documentation, marketing and PR support, travel and accommodation for those based outside Scotland’s Central Belt, a feedback pack and free tickets to other Cryptic Nights events. An access budget of up to £150 is available to support disability or caring‑responsibility needs. Applications are free and can be submitted via an online form, video, audio or Word document. Key dates include advice sessions on 21 October (in‑person) and 3 November 2026 (online), with the application deadline on 19 November 2026. Shortlisting occurs in late November/early December, informal meetings in January 2027 and final programming confirmation in February 2027.
