Clay Art Center – Nationale Ausschreibung: „Functional Fall: Pass the Butter“ (2027)

Clay Art Center, a non‑profit organization dedicated to the ceramic arts in Port Chester, New York, announces its 2027 National Call for Entry titled “Functional Fall: Pass the Butter”. The juried exhibition, guest‑juried by Maria Albornoz and former resident artist Andrew Coombs, seeks ceramic works that function as butter dishes, bells, or containers. Artists may submit up to three pieces, each accompanied by a PDF artist statement and bio, and up to five labeled photographs. Submissions are open from 1 February 2027 to 17 May 2027 (5 pm ET). Eligibility: U.S. residence, age 18+, works created within the last two years, primary medium ceramic (≥85%). All works must be for sale; the gallery takes a 40 % commission, and artists are responsible for shipping costs. No application fee is required. Selected works will be exhibited from 1 September to 16 October 2027, with juror’s choice ($300) and people’s choice ($100) awards. Artists retain ownership, and unsold works are returned after the exhibition.
