Choral Art 2027
Banff Centre for Arts and Creativity
Über Diese Gelegenheit
Choral Art 2027 is a nine‑day intensive residency program hosted by the Banff Centre for Arts & Creativity in Banff, Alberta. Designed for pre‑professional ensemble singers (sopranos, altos, tenors, and basses) of all genders, the program brings together twelve participants to study, rehearse, and perform alongside the Grammy‑winning vocal ensemble Chanticleer and guest faculty such as Andrea Haines, Sarah Quartel, and Michael Zaugg. Participants engage in workshops covering vocal technique, musicianship, ensemble skills, career development, and well‑being, as well as collaborative sessions with composers. The residency culminates in a three‑day Choral Art Festival, where the twelve residents join an additional 40 singers for concerts, workshops, and artistic exchange. The fee‑based program includes single‑room accommodation, all meals, studio space, library access, fitness facilities, and mentorship. A scholarship of up to CAD 1,424.59 is available, reducing the participant cost to CAD 1,297.01, with an additional Indigenous scholarship covering the full tuition. Applicants must be 18 or older, have ensemble experience, and be able to attend the full program from June 12 to June 20, 2027. The application deadline is December 09, 2026, with a non‑refundable fee of CAD 65 (or CAD 35 for Indigenous applicants).
