The Smithers Art Gallery is seeking artists for its 2027/2028 exhibition season (July 2027 – June 2028). Applications are accepted annually and close on Tuesday, September 15, 2026. Artists may submit a completed application form, a written description of the proposed exhibition, an artist statement, a biography, and 10‑15 digital images of the work. Submissions can be sent via a Google Form, email, mail, or in‑person drop‑off. The gallery offers two exhibition spaces (Main Gallery and Mini Gallery) that can accommodate 30‑40 pieces. No membership is required to apply, though members benefit from a reduced sales commission (25% vs. 30% for non‑members). Artists will receive sales revenue after commission and CARFAC royalty payments, with a requirement that at least 75 % of exhibited work be available for sale. Applications are juried by an independent committee, and applicants will be notified of the outcome by November 15, 2026. The call is open to artists working in any medium, and the gallery welcomes both emerging and established practitioners.
