Offene Ausschreibung: Forschungsaufenthalt – BRIDGE: Aufbau, Überarbeitung, Einbeziehung – Diaspora und Geschlechtergleichstellung

AWARE: Archives of Women Artists, Research and Exhibitions, in partnership with the City of Women (Ljubljana) and Kunsthaus Graz, invites women and non‑binary artists, curators and researchers with migratory or diasporic backgrounds to apply for three research residencies under the BRIDGE (Building, Revising, Including – Diaspora and Gender Equality) project (2026‑2028). The call runs until 31 August 2026. Three residency options are offered: a three‑month residency in Paris (hosted by AWARE at the Cité internationale des arts) with a studio, accommodation, round‑trip airfare and a living allowance of €1,000 per month; a one‑month residency in Graz (Kunsthaus Graz) with accommodation, round‑trip airfare, a €1,500 fee and a daily allowance of €35; and a one‑month residency in Ljubljana (City of Women) with similar support. Residents will have access to archives, institutional networks, and will be expected to produce a research article published on the host’s platform and present findings at a conference in autumn 2027. The program aims to amplify the histories of women and non‑binary artists in exile and promote gender‑equal representation in European cultural narratives.

Access to institutions' resources and networks

Open to natural persons who are women or non‑binary, residents or nationals of Creative Europe countries, and whose practice relates to diaspora, exile or migration; applicants may be artists, curators or researchers.
