Braunschweig-Projekte 2027/2028: Stipendien für bildende und Tonkünstler
Braunschweig Projects 2027/2028 is a residency fellowship program run by the Hochschule für Bildende Künste (HBK) Braunschweig in partnership with the State of Lower Saxony. The program offers seven fellowships—two for sound art and five for visual arts—to artists who wish to develop a project in the immediate vicinity of the university. Fellows receive a monthly stipend of €1,600 for 12 months, a rent‑free studio apartment, and an allowance for project and travel costs. They are expected to reside at HBK for at least eight months, participate in the Welcome Weeks (19–30 April 2027) and present a joint final exhibition in January/February 2028. Applicants must hold a completed art degree between 1 April 2016 and 1 April 2023, demonstrate extensive artistic practice and exhibition history, and cannot receive regular third‑party payments during the fellowship. The application deadline is 4 October 2026; applications are submitted via email with a completed application form, artistic profile, portfolio, and degree documentation. The program is open to international artists and offers a supportive mentorship network with HBK faculty.
