Festival zum Black History Month 2027
OH Art Foundation
Über Diese Gelegenheit
The OH Art Foundation, in partnership with the Zhou B Art Center, invites artists to submit visual works for the 3rd Annual Black History Month Festival of the Arts (BHFA27). The exhibition will be installed in the 2nd‑floor gallery of the Zhou B Art Center (1029 W. 35th St., Chicago, IL) and will run from January 15 to March 14 2027, with an opening reception on January 15. Artists may submit up to two works (fee covers two submissions) and may be considered for up to three pieces. Eligible media include painting, drawing, photography, digital and mixed media; limited 3D or time‑based works may be accepted subject to space constraints. The call is open to artists 18 years or older residing in the United States, with a preference for Midwest‑based creators. A $30 non‑refundable entry fee is required. Artists are responsible for shipping their works; a 50 % commission applies to any sales made during the exhibition. The festival seeks works that respond to the legacy of the Black Arts Movement and envision new futures for Black America. Applications close on December 13 2026 (midnight).
