In the Heart of the Beast Puppet & Mask Theatre
Über Diese Gelegenheit
In the Heart of the Beast Puppet & Mask Theatre (HOBT) is seeking teaching artists and creative practitioners to join its Artist Pool. The pool provides a flexible, ongoing network of artists who can design and deliver puppet‑based workshops, story‑time sessions, school residencies, make‑take activities, and community performances throughout the Minneapolis‑Saint Paul region. Positions are open to artists of all skill levels and explicitly encourage applicants from historically excluded communities, including Black, Indigenous, people of color, LGBTQIA+, and people with disabilities. While specific project compensation varies by engagement, the invitation offers paid teaching opportunities, professional development, and the chance to collaborate with HOBT’s established programming team. Applicants submit a résumé and inquiry via the HOBT “Work” page; there is no application fee and no fixed deadline, as the artist pool is maintained on a rolling basis. Successful candidates become part of HOBT’s vibrant community, contributing to school and library programs, festivals, corporate events, and touring productions such as the STEM‑focused puppet shows funded by local arts grants.
