AETHOS X LAB 2027 – Offene Ausschreibung für Choreografen des zeitgenössischen Tanzes

AETHOS X LAB 2027 is the third edition of an international choreographic exchange hosted by the contemporary dance company Euthopia, based in Taranto, Italy. The call invites contemporary dance choreographers—both emerging and established, independent artists or those working with professional companies—to participate in a five‑day residency from 15 to 21 February 2027. Participants will collaborate with Euthopia’s dancers to create a new choreographic work, which will be presented in a public performance on 20 or 21 February.

The residency offers two collaboration options. In the paid residency, the selected choreographer receives a €700 artistic fee, accommodation, travel/transfer expenses, five days of studio work with Euthopia’s dancers, and a public presentation of the resulting work. In the reciprocal residency exchange, the choreographer joins Euthopia for the residency without a monetary fee; instead, the two organizations agree on travel, accommodation and production arrangements, and the choreographer’s company will host a reciprocal residency in the future.

Applicants should have experience in contemporary dance and choreographic creation, a strong artistic identity, and an interest in collaborative processes. Submission requirements include a short artistic biography or CV, a portfolio or documentation of previous work, links to 1–3 videos, a short statement describing artistic approach and interest in AETHOS X LAB, contact details, and a preferred collaboration option.

Applications are due by 31 October 2026. The call is recurring, with a new edition each year, and the 2027 edition is currently open.
