The Accelerate Program is a two‑year initiative by the BC Arts Council designed to improve access and reduce barriers to funding for equity‑deserving and regionally located arts and culture organizations and collectives. Eligible applicants include arts organizations or arts/curatorial collectives that are equity‑deserving or located outside Greater Vancouver or the capital region, and are not currently receiving BC Arts Council Operating Assistance; Indigenous Community Organizations are also eligible. The program provides up to $30,000 per year for two years (maximum $60,000 total) to support general operating costs, organizational development, capacity building, and programming costs. Applications are accepted online through the BC Arts Council Grant Management System, with a deadline of October 8, 2026. The program offers support services for application preparation and requires a detailed application, including financial statements, a budget, and supporting materials. Results are announced in late February 2027. The program is recurring annually and is open to all eligible organizations within British Columbia.
