ACA Allenheads – Zeitgenössische Kunst
Allenheads Contemporary Arts
Über Diese Gelegenheit
ACA Allenheads Contemporary Arts (ACA) runs self‑funded residencies at its Old Schoolhouse in Allenheads, Northumberland. The program welcomes artists and creative practitioners across all media—including writers, musicians, curators, artists’ groups or companies, students, and PhD researchers—to design a residency that fits their personal practice, whether it is research, production, or experimentation. Participants gain access to a large shared studio classroom with panoramic views, a fully equipped sound recording studio, dance/music performance and practice space, workshop space, and a meeting/conference room. The venue also offers flexible self‑catering accommodation in four bedrooms that can host up to four single artists or a group of up to twelve sharing, as well as access to the North Pennines Observatory and introductory astronomy sessions. The residency is self‑funded; applicants pay a £100 non‑returnable deposit for individuals (or £250 for groups) to secure their place. There is no fixed duration; applicants can discuss preferred length with ACA. The residency is open on a rolling basis, with no set deadline, and is currently accepting applications.
