The Invitation Program 2027 Spring is a long‑term artist‑in‑residence project hosted by YUI‑PORT, the Niigata City Center for Creative Arts and International Youth Exchange. The program runs for up to 90 days between 1 April 2027 and 30 June 2027 and welcomes currently active artists (any discipline) who can communicate in Japanese or English. Residents receive studio and presentation spaces, free use of workshop galleries and tools, an artist dormitory, a daily living stipend of ¥2,800 (up to 89 nights), a production budget of ¥200,000, and round‑trip public‑transport travel support (up to ¥100,000 for Japanese applicants or ¥200,000 for overseas applicants). Participants must engage in at least one citizen‑exchange project with the designated administrator. The call is open from 21 July 2026 to 28 August 2026 (23:59 JST). Applications are submitted by e‑mail with required documents (application form, portrait photo, work images/video). The program aims to foster creative activity, public engagement, and regional cultural exchange in Niigata.
