Internationaler Wettbewerb für alternative Verfahren 2026

Soho Photo Gallery, New York's longest running cooperative gallery, is excited to announce our 22nd International Alternative Processes Competition. The competition will run from Wednesday, December 2nd to Sunday, December 20th, 2026, with an opening reception on Thursday, December 3rd from 6 to 8 pm. It will be the second Alternative Processes show at the gallery’s new location at 539 West 23rd Street. The competition is open to all photographers aged 18 years or older, excluding members of Soho Photo Gallery. Entries must be created using alternative photographic processes such as albumen, cyanotype, platinum/palladium, gum bichromate, and others, and must not be AI‑generated. The prize structure awards $300 to the first place, $200 to the second, $100 to the third, and four honorable mentions. Submissions are limited to one per artist and must be uploaded via the gallery’s online portal. The entry fee is $45, with an additional $5 fee for each extra image beyond the first.
