Residenzprogramm für Künstler 2026
Über Diese Gelegenheit
Harvestworks, a leading not‑for‑profit organization dedicated to experimental art forms that merge technology, sound, and visual media, is launching its 2026 Artists‑in‑Residence Program. The call targets contemporary American artists and legal U.S. residents working at the intersection of art and technology. Selected artists will develop and present new projects that explore how technology can deepen our understanding of the world, provoke new ideas, and ignite the imagination. Each resident receives a $5,000 commission, comprising a $2,000 artist fee and a budget for E.A.M. Lab activities, including research, production, programming, and prototyping. The residency takes place at Harvestworks’ Technology, Engineering, Art and Music Lab (T.E.A.M.) in New York City, providing studio space, technical assistance from assigned engineers, mentorship, and peer support. Projects must be new works and may take the form of multichannel audio or video installations, live performances with interactive systems, data visualizations, or AR/VR platforms. Students and recent past recipients are excluded, and the lead artist must reside in the U.S. The application deadline is December 20, 2026, with no application fee. Selected artists will be announced in late January 2026 and will begin development in February, culminating in public presentations in summer/fall/winter 2026. The residency runs through December 31, 2026, and is an annual, recurring program.
