Eligible expenses include housing, medical, and legal aid; psychotherapy costs are only covered if the therapist is an MD. Applicants must submit a mailed application package that includes a detailed letter explaining the need, 5‑10 work samples, references, a referral letter, and extensive financial documentation (bank statements, rent/mortgage, utility, phone bills, loan statements, credit/debit statements, invoices, unemployment award letters, pay stubs, and other benefit documentation). Selected visual artists may be asked to donate a signed, sellable artwork; non‑visual artists must provide a paragraph describing how their expertise supports MKCP’s mission.
