The Emergents programme is part of the Drake Music Collective, a professional development initiative for Disabled musicians. This cycle will select 5 Emergent artists to receive a £500 development bursary and participate in an online creative development programme. The programme includes two sessions per month held on Tuesday evenings from 6pm to 8pm, featuring training on music industry topics, creative discussions, group mentoring with experienced musicians, and networking opportunities. Selected artists will also have the chance to showcase their work to industry professionals at a hybrid in-person/online event in October 2027. Applications are particularly encouraged from individuals from the global majority, women, LGBTQIA+ community, and those from low-income backgrounds, with a commitment to award at least 3 bursaries to people from the global majority. Application process involves submitting an expression of interest by 4 August 2026, followed by application questions and a final submission deadline on 9 August 2026.
