OUT 驻留计划（第一期：先讲我们的故事）

The OUT Residency (Edition I: Our Story First) is an intensive, output‑driven, in‑person production residency taking place in Lagos, Nigeria, from August 25 to September 7, 2026. Organized by the Kokopelli Art Foundation – the programmatic arm of Kokopelli Gallery – the residency brings four artists together for rigorous creation, mentorship, and critical exchange, culminating in a group exhibition at Kokopelli Gallery in September.

Eligibility: Open to artists of African origin or heritage (living on the continent or in the diaspora) with at least two years of sustained artistic practice. No age, medium, or career‑stage restrictions, but applicants must be fully available in Lagos for the residency period and the exhibition dates (September 11‑12, 2026).

Resources offered include fully provided accommodation, daily meals, local transportation, a dedicated studio space, a materials allowance, mentorship from guest curators and artists, and inclusion in the closing exhibition. The application is free of charge.

Key dates: Application deadline – Friday, July 31, 2026 (11:59 PM WAT); selection notification – August 4, 2026; acceptance confirmation – August 8, 2026; residency term – August 25 – September 7, 2026; exhibition launch – September 10‑12, 2026.

The residency aims to foster rigorous artistic production, interdisciplinary dialogue, and professional development for emerging and established African artists.
