The Rhode Island State Council on the Arts (RISCA), in partnership with the Rhode Island Department of Health’s State Health Laboratories, invites Rhode Island‑based visual artists to apply for a solo exhibition in the newly opened Gallery at the State Health Laboratories, Providence. The exhibition runs for six months and the selected artist will receive a $2,500 honorarium for the artwork loan. Applications are reviewed by a panel of artists and community members. Eligible applicants must be artists residing in Rhode Island; no age or medium restrictions are stated. The gallery space is a public corridor located at 150 Richmond St., Providence, offering high visibility to staff, visitors, and the public. The call opens on July 1 2026 and closes on August 12 2026. No application fee is required. Selected artists will have their work displayed from October 2026 to April 2027. This is an annual (recurring) call, with the next cycle opening in July 2027.
