The aim is to create a space for reflection and research outside urban art centers, encouraging meaningful exchange between visiting practitioners and the fragile high-altitude environment of Ladakh. Their vision is to foster interdisciplinary dialogue across contemporary art, craft, ecology, and indigenous knowledge systems while promoting sustainable cultural practices. This is a research-driven residency for artists, curators, writers, designers, filmmakers, and interdisciplinary practitioners. The program prioritizes process over product and encourages site-responsive work rooted in the unique environmental and cultural context of Stok.
