Open Call for SSAF–AAA Research Grant for Archiving Histories of Art, Ideas, and Visual Culture 2026

The Sher‑Gil Sundaram Arts Foundation (SSAF) and Asia Art Archive (AAA) invite applications for the 2026 SSAF–AAA Research Grant, aimed at advancing the study and public accessibility of recent art histories in India through innovative archival practices. The grant provides funding for research, documentation, and digitisation projects that explore art, literature, poetry, aesthetics, and cultural practices within print culture and translation contexts. Applications are open to Indian nationals and collectives residing in India. The grant period runs from 1 September 2026 to 31 August 2027. The deadline for submissions is 31 July 2026. No application fee is required.
