Bando per la presentazione di proposte: Opportunità di arte pubblica e residenze per giovani – Strathcona Wilderness Centre
Informazioni su Questa Opportunità
Strathcona County Public Art is seeking applications for two separate temporary public art commissions (each $10,000 CAD) and one Activate Youth Residency (also $10,000 CAD) at the Strathcona Wilderness Centre, a year‑round outdoor destination east of Sherwood Park, Alberta. The public art commissions support site‑responsive sculptures, installations, sound works, trail interventions, and other environmentally engaged practices. The youth residency pairs an artist with local youth to develop a nature‑focused creative process that culminates in a public artwork. Both opportunities are open to Canadian artists and artist teams working in visual, public, craft, media, sound, performance, socially engaged, design or interdisciplinary practices. Preference may be given to artists with connections to Strathcona County, the Edmonton region, or Treaty 6 Territory, and youth‑engagement experience is an asset for the residency. Each project receives a total budget of $10,000 CAD covering artist fees, materials, travel, accommodation, installation, documentation, community engagement, insurance and permits. The call opens on 20 June 2026 and the application deadline is 10 August 2026. Selected projects will be installed and activated from fall 2026 through summer 2027. Applications are submitted as a PDF containing CV, artist statement, project description, budget and supporting images.
