Informazioni su Questa Opportunità

Making Sense CIO – Culture in Care, an artist‑led charity supported by the Arts Council of Wales and Wrexham Council, invites professional artists and creative practitioners to apply for six artist residencies in care homes across Wrexham. Each residency pairs an artist with an Activity Coordinator and residents to co‑design and deliver a creative programme around one of six themes (multi‑sensory interaction, words/poetry/song, Welsh language, digital engagement, mark making, dance and movement). The residency includes eight 2‑hour workshop sessions in a care home, two creative wellbeing sessions for the wider Activity Coordinator network, planning, reflection and mentoring conversations, a professional fee of £1,600, and reimbursement for materials and travel expenses. Applications are due by 27 July 2026; selected artists will be notified by 3 August 2026, with residencies running from September 2026 to July 2027. The call welcomes artists of all backgrounds with experience in participatory practice and a willingness to work in dementia‑friendly settings.
