ISSUE Project Room announces the 2027 Suzanne Fiol Curatorial Fellowship, a program that supports an emerging curator who resides in New York City. The Fellow receives a $3,000 cash stipend, an ISSUE‑funded production budget of up to $10,000 to realize three public programs, free rehearsal space at ISSUE’s partner venues, access to the ISSUE archive, and comprehensive curatorial, marketing and technical support throughout the fellowship year. Additional professional‑development opportunities such as grant‑writing assistance may be offered. Applicants must be current NYC residents, must not have previously participated in the fellowship, and may submit only one application per cycle. The selection committee, composed of ISSUE’s Artistic Advisory Council members and curators, evaluates proposals based on inventiveness, feasibility and alignment with ISSUE’s mission. Applications are requested via email (subject “SFCF 2027 Request for Application”) and must be submitted by 12 p.m. EDT on July 27 2026. Notification of the selected Fellow will be sent by September 14 2026.
